XC Ski Headquarters Cross Country Ski Report – 03/10
The skiing was great yesterday until about 3:00pm, when the sun and warm temps made the trails fairly wet and the snow slow. It did get below freezing last night, which means this morning will be the same: great skiing until the sun gets high enough to start transforming the snow. Groomer Dana will start snowcombing and setting fresh tracks where needed at dawn today. We have 9 to 17 inches of snow in the woods and 6 to 10 inches packed on the trails.
