XC Ski Headquarters Cross Country Ski Report – 11/18
Mother Nature just called.
It’s true. She said to tell you ‘You’re welcome’ for the awesome fall weather we’ve had. Oh, and also that she’s bringing us a Mother-Load of snow this weekend.
Um… Explain.
According to her (and a handful of reputable weather services), Cross Country Ski HQ is about to receive, and I quote, a Mother-Load of 5 to 8 inches of S-N-O-W. And that’s just this Saturday alone. Sunday we’re getting a Baby-Load of 1 to 3 inches.
WHAT IN THE NAME OF GINZU ARE WE GOING TO DO??!!?
Calm down, we know it’s difficult to handle the intense joy coursing through your body right now, but bear with us while we fill you in on The Plan:
The Plan is that, since the ground is not frozen (nay, it is not even cold yet), the primary focus of Saturday’s efforts will be to pack the snow freeze the ground, and establish a base for skiing.
Skiing, you say?
Yes, BUT. Truth be told, while we would love to promise skiing right away, in reality it is still firearm deer season, and like we said, the ground needs to cool down before we can really do much grooming. However, if Ma’ Nature really does deliver on that big load of snow, we will definitely be out there getting our skis wet, at least on the Blizzard trail and Ski Park.
We are so incredibly excited for snow that it’s hard to put into words. Just trust that during this big dumping of snow, we will have Handel’s Messiah blaring through our speakers on repeat.
See you this weekend!! BRING YOUR SKIS!!!
