KEWEENAW AREA TRAILS

December 20, 2015

Michigan Tech -All skate lanes were groomed. Track set on all trails 12/18. Lights on every evening until 9:00 pm. Remember to buy a pass.

December 19, 2015

Swedetown – All trails rolled and packed (except lower Powderhouse), and 14km tracked. Very good conditions.

Chassell – The trail was packed several times. Tracks are set. Conditions are very good to excellent. Water has seeped through in a few areas, but considering that the ground was bare on Wednesday, it looks good. There have been significant changes on the upper part of the trail, just follow the tracks, and you should be fine.

Michigan Tech -All main trails packed and tracked. Tolkien trails packed and tracked. Troll Loop at Tolkien Trails is very wet.

Swede Town Ski Trails

30 kilometers (20 miles) of trails groomed seven days a week for skating and classic skiing. Plenty of intermediate trails as well as more challenging options. Three trailheads with plowed parking including Chalet with wax area, drinking water, restrooms. The upstairs skier lounge with snackbar is open seven days a week, stop in.
