Vasa Trail Cross Country Ski Report – 01/04

Groomers have been out on the Vasa all morning setting classic tracks.

With up to 10 inches of new snow on the trail…the team sure has their work cut out for them!

Roger and Glen started grooming this morning at 5:30. With a total of 6 to 10 inches of new snow on the trail they were forced to pack using the rollers first. They have rolled the 5K and 11K loops as well as the 25K loop to the shortcut back to the 10K near the 7K post.

They have also packed the Special K section. They are currently at the barn switching to the Ginzu and Tidd Tech and will groom and set classic tracks on the above mentioned portions of the trail.

Once those are finished they will swap back to the rollers and repeat the process on the remainder of the 25K loop. It will be afternoon before they are finished with the entire trail system.
