XC Ski Headquarters Cross Country Ski Report – 01/08
Our trails are still in good shape despite mid 30s temps yesterday. We have 5 to 7 inches of snow in the woods and 3 to 4 inches packed on the the trails. Groomer Henry will start Ginzu snow combing all the skating lanes early this morning. All trails have firm tracks set and have wide, fast, snowcombed skating lanes. Very good conditions prevail on all trails. We may get some light rain this afternoon, but 5-9 inches is forecasted throughout the weekend!
Today: Cloudy this morning with showers during the afternoon. High near 35F. Winds SE at 5 to 10 mph. Chance of rain 50%.
Tonight: Cloudy with periods of light rain. Low 32F. Winds light and variable. Chance of rain 80%.
Saturday: A few showers early changing to snow showers later in the day. Temps nearly steady in the mid 30s. Winds light and variable. Chance of precip 40%.
Saturday night: Cloudy with snow. Low 22F. Winds N at 10 to 20 mph. Chance of snow 90%. 3 to 5 inches of snow expected.
Sunday & Sunday night: Variably cloudy with snow showers. High 24F. Winds NW at 15 to 25 mph. Chance of snow 90%. Night time low 11F. Total snow accumulating 2-4 inches.
Today’s lunch special is the Classic Ham panini. Black Forest ham, tomatoes, spinach and swiss on Stone House bread with stone ground mustard grilled to perfection by chef Erin.
Of course there will also be Famous Chili served with a multigrain roll, Bosco Sticks, chocolate chip and oatmeal raisin cookies, fresh muffins and Starbucks coffee!
