Shanty Creek Snow Report – 01/14

Thursday, January 14

Good snowy morning! We received 2-3″ of new accummulation in the last 24 hours and 16-18″ of snow in the past week. Conditions at Schuss Mountain are fabulous!

Snowmaking also continues on the Red Chailift runs, Goosebumps and Sapporo. We are expecting to have 93% of our groomable terrain open this weekend, with the opening of the red chair lift and the addition of a full park build out on the Purple Daze Terrain Park. In anticipation of the full park layout, Purple Daze Terrain Park is currently closed for snowmaking.

19 runs and and four lifts (yellow, purple, pink and the Magic Carpet) will be available at Schuss Mountain today.

All 30km of our Nordic trails have been rolled and trails have been trackset where deeper base occurs. Some areas of drifting have occurred. Please check with the Nordic Center for the most up to up to date trail conditions. Our 5km Fat Biking/Snowshoeing trail is also available.
