XC Ski Headquarters Cross Country Ski Report – 02/02
Ginzu Dana snow combed all the skating lanes yesterday evening, letting his work set and freeze overnight, giving us firm and fast trails this morning. Classic tracks are firm and in good condition. The morning will give us the fastest skiing, but the afternoon should bring us more winter wonderland scenery with new snow accumulation. Trails have a 7 to 9 inch base and there is 10 to 14 inches of snow in the woods.
Forecast:
Today: Cloudy. Snow likely this afternoon. High 34F. Winds ESE at 15 to 25 mph. Chance of snow 70%. 1 to 3 inches of snow expected.
Tonight: Windy with rain mixed with snow this evening. Low 29F. Winds ESE at 20 to 30 mph. Chance of precip 100%. Snowfall around one inch.
Wednesday: Snow showers later in the day. High 38F. Winds SSW at 10 to 20 mph. Chance of precip 50%. Winds could occasionally gust over 40 mph.
Today’s lunch special is Bob’s Favorite Tuna Panini: albacore tuna, black olives, jalapenos, tomatoes and swiss on ciabatta, grilled to delicious perfection and served with chips and a pickle. If you prefer, have it in a wrap. Mmmm good! Famous Classic Chili and Veggie Chili will also be served along with other specialty paninis and treats.
