Congratulations to all the skiers participating in yesterday’s White Pine Stampede! The hills at the end were quite challenging!

The trail groomed up beautifully yesterday and the snow quality was exceptional. This morning Groomer Kevin will be back in the saddle, Ginzu grooming all the skating lanes and resetting tracks where needed on all 8 trails. We have a 10 to 13 inch base and there is 14 to 19 inches of snow in the woods. Conditions are excellent!

Monday: A few snow showers scattered about the area in the morning, otherwise a good deal of clouds. High near 35F. Winds light and variable. Chance of snow 30%.

Tuesday: Occasional snow showers. High 27F. Winds NW at 10 to 15 mph. Chance of snow 50%. Snowfall around one inch.

Today’s lunch special is Paella on the Sun Deck. Celebrating the world-renowned and absolutely delicious rice dish that originates in Spain, and offers skiers a hearty, flavorful feast. Bob and Lynne learned the method from Paella chef master Ayo while visiting Nerja, Spain, and are excited to serve this traditional dish to hungry skiers at XC Ski HQ. Prepared in a massive cast iron pan over an outdoor fire pit, this lunch is almost as enjoyable to watch being cooked as it is to eat! Served piping hot with vegetables and Saffron-infused chicken and shrimp. This dish will be served in two seatings: 1:00pm and 3:00pm. Buen Provecho! Classic Chili and Veggie Chili , along with paninis, muffins and cookies will also be available.
