XC Ski Headquarters Cross Country Ski Report – 02/09
As of 6:45 this morning, it was 24F and just beginning to snow. We are expected to receive only flurries this morning, but this evening it should begin snowing again, and we are expected to receive 1 to 3 inches of new snow overnight. Our tracks are firm and in good shape, and this light dusting will give them the perfect speed for our classic skiers. Groomer Kevin will begin ginzu-snowcombing all the skating lanes at day break this morning. We have a 10 to 13 inch base and there is 14 to 19 inches of snow in the woods on all 8 trails.
Forecast:
Today: Occasional snow showers. High 27F. Winds NW at 10 to 20 mph. Chance of snow 50%. Snow accumulations less than one inch.
Tonight: Cloudy with some light snow. Low 12F. Winds NNW at 10 to 20 mph. Chance of snow 80%. Snow accumulating 1 to 3 inches. Heavier amounts in persistent snowbands.
Wednesday: Snow flurries and snow showers. High 13F. Winds NNW at 10 to 20 mph. Chance of snow 40%.
Our lunch special today is the Rocky Mountain Chipotle Veggie Wrap! Spinach, tomato, red onion, bell peppers, banana peppers, homemade hummus, provolone and swiss cheese, with chipotle mayo in a giant wrap! Grilled to perfection and served with Great Lakes Potato Chips and a pickle.
Don’t miss the Winter Wonderland Sale, with great deals on closeout skis, boots, and clothing!
It’s another fine day to be playing on the snow!
-Lynne, Bob, Mariah, Stu, Fran, Brian, Erin, Matt V., Ryan, Gage, Grant, Lexi, Michele, Michelle, Matt B., Carl, and the crew
