XC Ski Headquarters Cross Country Ski Report – 03/03

Deep firm tracks are pressed in on all trails. Great classic and skate skiing today!

Trails groomed up beautifully yesterday. We used the Latui Track Roller to roll in deep firm fresh snow base tracks and the super clean Ginzu snowcomb to make skating lanes like magic carpets! All 8 trails have excellent conditions for both classic and skate skiing. We have a 7 to 11 inch base, and 11 to 21 inches of snow in the woods. As of 7 am this morning the temperature was -1 F! Groomer Henry will start refurbishing the skating lanes very early this morning.

Forecast:

Today: Partly cloudy skies. High 29F. Winds light and variable.

Tonight: Partly cloudy. Low 12F. Winds light and variable.

Friday: Sunshine in the morning followed by cloudy skies during the afternoon. High 34F. Winds SW at 5 to 10 mph.

Friday night: Occasional snow showers. Low 22F. Winds S at 5 to 10 mph. Chance of snow 60%. About one inch of snow expected.

Saturday: Cloudy with snow showers mainly during the morning. High 37F. Winds light and variable. Chance of snow 50%.

Back by popular demand! Today’s lunch special is the Mediterranean Tuna Wrap! Albacore tuna, homemade hummus, kalamata olives, feta cheese, spinach, red onions and tomatoes, rolled up in a giant tortilla wrap and grilled on the panini press. Served with Great Lakes Chips and a pickle. Of course our famous Spicy Chili and Veggie Chili will be served with a warm multigrain roll and various speciality paninis will also be available.

The March Madness Sale is underway!

We must enjoy these fantastic conditions while we can!!
