Instructor Fran and her class from Our Lady of the Lake School had a great day of XC skiing yesterday!

We had a great day of skiing yesterday. The snow has not transformed and has groomed up for ideal conditions. As of 7am this morning we have received 1/2 inch of new snow and this is just what Groomer Henry needs to make the trails brand new again. He will start grooming all 8 trails at dawn this morning. We have a 6 to 9 inch base, and 9 to 16 inches of snow in the woods. Excellent conditions.

Forecast:

Today: Cloudy with snow showers mainly during the morning. High 36F. Winds light and variable. Chance of snow 50%.

Tonight: Cloudy early with some clearing expected late. Low around 20F. Winds light and variable.

Sunday: Partly cloudy. High 42F. Winds SSW at 10 to 20 mph.

Today’s lunch special is: Jimmy Mac’s Favorite Panini We like to think that we offer relatively healthy lunch options, but every now and then we just have to put bacon on the menu. The Jimmy Mac Panini is named after Mariah’s brother, who first created this mouthwatering concoction of sliced grilled chicken breast, Canadian bacon, chopped spinach, sliced tomato, jalapenos, provolone cheese and pesto in a flatbread sandwich, all grilled to cheesy, bacony perfection. It is truly a culinary triumph.

The Trapper will be at Trapper’s cabin today and there will be a fire on the sundeck!
