Greetings from Higgins Lake! We are happy to report that last night we received 4 inches of wet, heavy snow. While we do not have quite enough snow to groom the trails yet, if you have rock skis and have the itch to ski on marginal snow (watch for thin spots under the pine trees), you are welcome to hit the trails. If you do, we suggest the Rolling Hills and Trappers Cabin trails, which will have the best snow coverage.

But even BETTER NEWS! Starting Wednesday we will be seeing consistently below-freezing temps day and night, which means we are planning to make man-made snow. If all goes to plan, we will begin blowing snow Wednesday night, and will have deep, groomed snow on the Blizzard Ski Park by Saturday morning. The Ski Park will be open for ski demo’s and for the Amy Powell Ski Clinic, both skate and classic techniques. Click here for the details! After the ski clinic, we will have a wax clinic at 4pm by Fast Wax founder Dan Meyer. The wax clinic will be highly informative and of interest to both racers and recreational skiers. There is no charge for the wax clinic.
