XC Ski Headquarters Cross Country Ski Report – 12/15

Jr Skaters love the excitement of skate skiing!

Great skiing yesterday with 2 + inches of fresh snow. Groomer Matt did a fine job snow combing the skating lanes. Ginsu Dana will start Ginzu snow combing all the trails early this morning and resetting tracks where needed. We have 8 to 10 inches of snow in the woods and 4 to 6 inches of packed snow on the trails. Conditions are excellent!

Forecast:

Today: High 14 and windy. Blowing snow, accumulations less than and inch.

Tonight: Low 8 with a few flurries.

Friday: High 20 with snow in the evening. 3 to 5 inches.

Saturday: Light snow high 26.

The Stone Turtle Day Lodge lunch special is a steaming bowl of classic chili, served with a warm roll and real butter!

The Let it Snow Sale continues on winter jackets, boots, and clothing, plus XC ski clothing and cross country ski packages. Stop by and demo a pair of Teflon-infused mohair skin skis, like the Fischer Twin Skin X-Lite
, which is a great performer in all ski conditions!

Don’t forget Full Moon night skiing tomorrow at 6pm and Trapper Santa will be at the Cabin from noon to 3 this Saturday!

The snow is fantastic!
