Adventure Trail Big Foot
The trails are in great shape headed into the weekend, with wide, well-packed, snow combed skating lanes, and fresh classic tracks as of yesterday. Ginzu Dana will start grooming again this morning once the temps warm up a little. We have 8 to 10 inches of snow in the woods and 4 to 6 inches of packed snow on the trails. Conditions are excellent!
Forecast:
Today: Cloudy with snow showers developing for the afternoon. High 22F. Winds SSW at 5 to 10 mph. Chance of snow 50%.
Tonight: Cloudy with snow. Low 14F. Winds SE at 5 to 10 mph. Chance of snow 90%. Snow accumulating 3 to 5 inches.
Saturday: Snow showers early will become steadier snow in the afternoon. High 24F. Winds N at 5 to 10 mph. Chance of snow 70%. 1 to 3 inches of snow expected.
The woods provided protection from the winds yesterday, and not only for skiers. Keep your eyes peeled for this mysterious 2-legged creature on the Adventure Trail!
Join us for Full Moon Night Skiing tonight from 6:00pm to 8:00pm! The trails will be lit and there will be a bonfire at Trappers Cabin. If you need to rent skis or snowshoes, please do so before 7:00pm.
Santa will be on the ski trails tomorrow! From noon until 3:00pm on Saturday, make your way out to Trappers Cabin to visit with jolly old Trapper Santa, enjoy free hot cocoa, roasted chestnuts, and lots of holiday cheer.
The Stone Turtle Day Lodge lunch special is the Turkey Trot Panini! Oven roasted turkey breast, provolone cheese, tomato, onion, spinach, mustard and mayo, grilled and served hot on Stone House 9 Grain Bread. Served with kettle cooked potato chips and a pickle!
