Greetings from Higgins Lake! As of 6:45am we have received 3 inches of overnight accumulation and it is still snowing. Ginzu Dana started grooming early this morning and is snow combing all the skating lanes and setting new tracks, resulting in prime conditions heading into the holiday weekend. We now have a 6-7″ packed base on the trails, and 10-12″ of snow in the woods.

Forecast:

Today: Cloudy with snow showers mainly during the morning. High 24F. Winds WNW at 10 to 20 mph. Chance of snow 50%. Snow accumulations less than one inch.

Tonight: Cloudy with snow. Low 18F. Winds S at 10 to 15 mph. Chance of snow 90%. 1 to 3 inches of snow expected.

Tomorrow: Snow showers. High 34F. Winds SW at 10 to 20 mph. Chance of snow 70%. About one inch of snow expected.

The Stone Turtle Day Lodge lunch special is the Gourmet Grilled Cheese! Swiss and provolone cheese, plus pesto and tomato grilled hot on two slices of Stone House Sourdough bread. Served with kettle cooked potato chips and a pickle.
