Over 30 people attended the free cross country ski lesson on New Years Eve!

The trails were in excellent shape yesterday, with wide, smooth skating lanes and firm set tracks under a bright blue sky. Ginzu Dana will begin snow combing the skating lanes this morning at dawn, and setting fresh tracks where needed. We now have a 7 to 8 inch packed base on the trails, and 12 to 14 inches of snow in the woods.

Forecast:

Today: Mainly sunny to start, then a few afternoon clouds. High 39F. Winds E at 5 to 10 mph.

Tonight: Areas of fog. Slight chance of a rain shower. Low near 30F. Winds ENE at 5 to 10 mph.

Tuesday: Chance of a morning shower. Cloudy skies with some morning fog. Temps nearly steady in the mid 30s. Winds NW at 5 to 10 mph.

The Stone Turtle Day Lodge lunch special is the Cobb Salad! Oven roasted turkey, bacon bits, cherry tomatoes, red onions, and house made croutons on a bed of mixed greens. Of course there will also be famous house-made Chili (classic and chipotle veggie), Bosco Sticks, and chocolate chip and oatmeal raisin cookies!
