Yesterday was the most perfect day for XC skiing anyone could ask for!

The trails groomed up wonderfully yesterday, giving many skiers the most ideal conditions all winter, with blue skies, mild temps, and lots of sunshine. Ginzu Dana will start snow combing all the trails and setting new tracks where needed early this morning. We now have a 8 to 11 inch packed base and 12 to 16 inches of snow in the woods. It’s hard to believe all the snow we have in the forest! Conditions are excellent for skating and classic skiing on all 8 trails.

Forecast:

Today: A mix of clouds and sun. High 29F. Winds light and variable.

Tonight: Partly cloudy skies. Low 17F. Winds light and variable.

Tomorrow: A mix of clouds and sun early, then becoming cloudy later in the day. High 37F. Winds light and variable.

The Stone Turtle Day Lodge lunch special is the Gourmet Mac ‘n Cheese bar! Chef Erin’s creation features her own secret recipe for homemade mac ‘n cheese, with all kinds of crazy toppings including bacon, roasted broccoli, bleu cheese, chopped tomatoes, toasted sunflower seeds, and of course steamed peas and hot dogs. You may want to get your skiing done before you embark on this culinary masterpiece!
