Greetings from Higgins Lake! Yesterday’s conditions were ideal with another day of sunny skies, mild temps and the trails groomed up beautifully. Ginzu Dana will be ginzu-snowcombing all the skate lanes again early this morning, dicing up the snowpack just enough to lay down a nice corduroy.

Meanwhile, the classic tracks remain firm and in great shape. We now have a 8 to 11 inch packed base and 12 to 16 inches of snow in the woods. Conditions are excellent for skating and classic skiing on all 8 trails.

Forecast:

Today: Some early morning breaks in the overcast, otherwise cloudy. High 37F. Winds light and variable.

Tonight: Cloudy with freezing rain expected. Low 27F. Winds ESE at 5 to 10 mph. Chance of precip 100%.

Tomorrow: Rain and freezing rain early. Then clouds lingering in the afternoon. Temps nearly steady in the mid 30s. Winds ENE at 5 to 10 mph. Chance of precip 90%.
