Shanty Creek Snow Report – 01/29

With 6″ of new snow fell yesterday with a bunch of new snow during the overnight hours. Our snowfall total is around 12″ of new since Wednesday, the slopes are in amazing condition! Today’s weather forecast calls for light snow with accumulations of around 1″. High will be near 23.

Schuss Mountain:
Surface snow conditions are machine groomed and packed powder with a base of up to 60″. 40 slopes are available today with the magic carpet, yellow, purple, pink and red lifts servicing these runs. The Low Rider Terrain Park, Natty Park and our Monster Park are all available as well.

Please note, there will be some lane closures on the face as well as Good Knight today as we prepare for the Traverse City Central Invitational on Monday.

Schuss Mountain:
Eight runs and 3 lifts are available at Summit Mountain today, with the Magic Carpet, Tow Rope and Green Double chair available. The Downland Mini-Terrain Park has a flat bar and hand rail available (located near the Downland Tow Rope).

Nordic Trails:
The new snowfall has really freshened up the Nordic trails. We will be attempting to groom all 35k of our Nordic Trail system today.
