Shanty Creek Snow Report – 01/30

With 5″ of new snow falling over the weekend, our snowfall total is around 9″ of new snow since Wednesday. The slopes are in amazing condition! Today’s weather forecast calls for cloudy skies with highs around 23 degrees.

Today, Shanty Creek will be hosting the Traverse City West Invitational at Schuss Mountain. Please be aware, the face will be closed during the race.

Schuss Mountain:
Surface snow conditions are machine groomed and packed powder with a base of up to 60″. 40 slopes are available today with the magic carpet, yellow, purple, pink and red lifts servicing these runs. The Low Rider Terrain Park, Natty Park and our Monster Park are all available as well.

Nordic Trails:
The new snowfall has really freshened up the Nordic trails. We will be attempting to groom all 35k of our Nordic Trail system today.
