XC Ski Headquarters Snow Report – 03/04

Groomer greg had great success in setting fresh tracks yesterday and the skiing stayed fabulous all day long.

As 6:20 am this morning the temperature was 8 degrees. These cold nights are really saving the snow pack. Groomer Greg will started grooming all trails this morning at 6am. These are some of the best March X-C Sking days ever.

SKIING & SNOW CONDITIONS:
Freshly snow combed skating lanes and freshly set classic tracks on the Rolling Hills, Adventure, Mackinac Cut, Wild Turkey, Trapper’s Cabin, Blizzard and the Manitou trails. Shallow tracks are set on the Tall Pines trail. Very good freshly groomed conditions.

GENERAL SNOW & WEATHER CONDITIONS:
Today March 04
Sunshine. High near 35F. Winds NNE at 5 to 10 mph.

Tonight March 04
Some clouds. Low near 15F. Winds NNE at 5 to 10 mph.

Tomorrow March 05
Partly cloudy skies. High 38F. Winds NNW at 5 to 10 mph.

Saturday March 06
Abundant sunshine. Highs in the low 40s and lows in the mid 20s.

SNOW DEPTH IN WOODS, UNPACKED: 7 – 11
SNOW DEPTH PACKED ON SKI TRAILS: 4 – 8
BARE SPOTS, CRUSTED, GLAZED, ETC.:
There are some very low snow spots on the Tall Pines Trail
