It’s a beautiful thing when that sun comes out!

Conditions were wonderful yesterday for both skating and classic, and the sun even made an appearance later in the day! We received another heavy dusting of snow last night. Ginzu Dana has done a great job handling the snowfall we have received in the last few days, and he will groom again early this morning, resetting tracks where needed and snow combing the skating lanes. We have a 10 to 12 inch base, with 18 to 22 inches of snow in the woods. Excellent conditions for both skating and classic!

Forecast:

Today: Variably cloudy with snow showers. High 29F. Winds light and variable. Chance of snow 70%. Snow accumulations less than one inch.

Tonight: Cloudy with snow showers mainly during the evening. Low 23F. Winds W at 5 to 10 mph. Chance of snow 60%.

Tomorrow: Snow showers early becoming more scattered later. High 27F. Winds WNW at 10 to 15 mph. Chance of snow 40%.

We have lots of fun on tap for this week! Join us Wednesday night for the Women’s Ski Tour from 5:30 to 7:00pm. Then join us Saturday for Ski the Beer Trail, when Paddle Hard Brewing from Grayling will set up beer tasting stations along the ski trails! The Beer Trail is open from 11:00am to 4:00pm on Saturday, Feb 4th. Tickets are $35, which include your facilities pass, 4 beer tasting tokens, and a delicious BBQ lunch with German Dave at Trapper’s Cabin. Tickets are limited, and sold on a first come, first served basis starting at 9:00am on Saturday.
