These parents took their baby bear XC skiing for the very first time at 18 months!

Beautiful cross country skiing conditions prevail here in northern Michigan. All 8 of our trails have a deep, firm base, with just the right amount of fresh snow packed on top to make for excellent conditions for skating and classic skiing. Groomer George will begin snow combing the skating lanes and resetting tracks where needed on all trails early this morning. We have a 10 to 12 inch base, with 18 to 22 inches of snow in the woods.

Forecast:

Today: A mix of clouds and sun early followed by cloudy skies this afternoon. High 28F. Winds SW at 10 to 15 mph.

Tonight: Snow showers. Low 23F. Winds SSW at 10 to 15 mph. Chance of snow 50%. Snow accumulations less than one inch.

Tomorrow: Cloudy with snow showers mainly during the morning. High 29F. Winds WNW at 10 to 20 mph. Chance of snow 50%.
