Boyne Mountain Snow Report – 02/07

Until ‘the lake’ freezes over…a saying often heard while skiing and riding in northern Michigan. If you are a snow lover than you certainly pay attention to weather patterns before hitting the slopes…and the weather pattern over the next few days has us and the weatherman stumped. Of course, we are praying for powder, but an unexpected warming trend combined with ice on the big lake is giving us a 50/50 chance for a big dumping of snow. We’ll be sure to think about it today from 9am-4:30pm as we glide down 375 acres of hero snow. And that my friends is the silver lining to winter warmth…hero snow.
