It’s a beautiful day at Shanty Creek Resorts! We received 9-10″ of new snow in the last 48 hours. Today’s weather forecast calls for snow during the morning, tapering off and giving way to cloudy skies during the afternoon hours. Accumulations of 1-3″ of snow are expected.

Schuss Mountain:
Schuss Mountain has 39 of 42 runs open today, serviced by the magic carpet, yellow, purple, pink and red lifts. Snowmaking is in progress on Pink Schussycat, Ivan’s Alley, and the flats near the bottom of the Blue Lift. Please be aware of varying conditions around snow making in progress.

The Monster Park was re-worked on Tuesday with its most impressive build of the season. We will be touching up the park today, expect some closures throughout the day. Come check out the following features (or take a look at the build here):

Nordic Trails:

On the Nordic trails, we will blending in the much welcome snow to the pre-existing base. We will be starting from Schuss first thing this morning with the intentions of hitting the whole circuit. The lower Legend Loop was still wet yesterday; we will making a call about grooming it when we arrive there today.
