XC Ski Headquarters Cross Country Ski Report – 02/11

Build your own Fire Grilled Pizza today!

Another great weekend of skiing is in store for us, and we continue to feel lucky for all the great snow we’ve had this winter. We received another two inches of snow yesterday, allowing Ginzu Dana to set new tracks on all eight trails yesterday. Groomer George will ginzu-snowcomb all the skate lanes early this morning. With the three to four inches of snow since Tuesday’s rain/refreeze, the skate lanes have transformed right back into smooth and firm snow, but not icy. With temps in the mid 30’s today and great conditions for both classic and skate, we will be sure to see plenty of smiling faces today. We have a 9 to 11 inch base, with 14 to 18 inches of snow in the woods.

Forecast:

Today: Cloudy skies. High 37F. Winds light and variable.

Tonight: Cloudy skies with late-night snow showers. Low 26F. Winds light and variable. Chance of snow 40%.

Sunday: Snow during the morning will transition to snow showers during the afternoon. High 33F. Winds W at 15 to 25 mph. Chance of snow 80%. Snow accumulating 1 to 3 inches.
