XC Ski Headquarters Cross Country Ski Report – 02/12
Bob got to watch daughter Mariah win the North American 50k Vasa Freestyle yesterday! Congrats to all the racers!
It was a marvelous day of skiing yesterday, with lots of folks enjoying the winter wonderland we have out on the trails. Many people tried skate skiing for the first time and are officially “converted”! Ginzu Dana has been out since dawn snow combing the skating lanes and resetting tracks where needed. We are forecast to receive up to 3 inches of snow today, and will groom throughout the snowfall if needed. The trails are in excellent condition for skating and classic skiing. We have a 9 to 11 inch base, with 14 to 18 inches of snow in the woods.
Forecast:
Today: Snow this morning will give way to lingering snow showers this afternoon. High near 35F. Winds W at 15 to 25 mph. Chance of snow 90%. Snow accumulating 1 to 3 inches. Winds could occasionally gust over 40 mph.
Tonight: Scattered snow showers during the evening. Then partly to mostly cloudy overnight. Low 22F. Winds NW at 15 to 25 mph. Chance of snow 40%. Winds could occasionally gust over 40 mph.
Tomorrow: Mostly cloudy skies. High 34F. Winds WNW at 10 to 15 mph.
