XC Ski Headquarters Cross Country Ski Report – 02/13
German Dave and his son Marc enjoyed the snowy weather yesterday, and the Paella!
Another fabulous weekend in the books! Chef Erin’s Paella was the best ever yesterday, and is officially the best food that goes hand-in-hand with cross country skiing. We also received upwards of 3 inches of snow yesterday, which will make for a fantastic week of skiing this week. Ginzu Dana will start at dawn with snow combing the skating lanes and resetting tracks on all 8 trails. The trails are in excellent condition for skating and classic skiing. We have a 10 to 12 inch base, with 16 to 20 inches of snow in the woods.
Forecast:
Today: Partly cloudy. High 38F. Winds W at 5 to 10 mph.
Tonight: Partly cloudy early followed by cloudy skies overnight. Low 27F. Winds SW at 5 to 10 mph.
Tomorrow: Cloudy skies with afternoon snow showers. Temps nearly steady in the low to mid 30s. Winds W at 10 to 20 mph. Chance of snow 50%. Snow accumulations less than one inch.
Today’s Stone Turtle Cafe Lunch Special is the Gourmet Grilled Cheese Panini! Provolone, swiss, tomato, and basil pesto, grilled on Stone House Sourdough Bread. This melty, pesto-y goodness is served with Great Lakes Chips and a pickle spear. Don’t forget to try a house made blueberry muffin!
