These Houghton Lake Elementary Schoolers had a great time snowshoeing yesterday!

Yesterday was a gorgeous day of skiing in northern Michigan, with a bit of fresh snow adding to the base on the trails and creating smooth, enjoyable conditions. Ginzu Dana has been snow combing the skating lanes since dawn. We are hoping to set new tracks on all trails this afternoon, and should have great late-winter conditions for skate and classic skiing this weekend. We have an 8 to 12 inch base, with 16 to 20 inches of snow in the woods.

Tonight: Partly cloudy. Low 34F. Winds SSW at 5 to 10 mph.

Tomorrow: Partly cloudy. High 49F. Winds W at 5 to 10 mph.
