Conditions for Ski the Beer Trail could not have been more perfect! Thanks to everyone for making it a great day!

It was a fabulous day of cross country skiing yesterday. The weather was perfect, with just enough sunshine to make for a beautiful day without softening up the snow too much. The Michigan Search and Rescue team brought 5 dogs to XC Ski HQ, and did some very cool live rescue demos from the sun deck. Ski the Beer Trail with Paddle Hard Brewing was a great time, too, with people from all over the state and beyond (Ohio, Alabama and Tennessee!) enjoying the sun, music, food and craft beer at Trapper’s Cabin. Ginzu Dana will snow comb the skating lanes this morning. Tracks were set on Friday and are in decent shape. All 8 trails are in very good to great shape for skating and classic, except for some slightly thin spots on Tall Pines. Better get out there and enjoy the snow today!
