XC Ski Headquarters Cross Country Ski Report – 12/09

After making snow since Wednesday, and with some natural snow added in, our practice area and one of the hills has over 12 inches of great, dense snow. Groomer Bob has snowcombed the practice area and set tracks for today’s ski clinics with Jordyn Ross. The conditions are great out there if you just want to come play around, or come demo some skate or classic skis or boots for free!

Bob is also snow combing the Rolling Hills Trail and we are waiting to see what the results will be. All trails across the street are open for rock skiing, but we request that you classic ski only until we confirm the results of the snow combing efforts! It looks just beautiful out there.

Join us for a FREE Toko Wax Clinic with Nick Baic today at 4:30pm. Nick is the Junior Olympic Coach and Toko guru, and will be demonstrating tips, tricks and best practices. All Toko wax is an extra 10% OFF after the wax clinic!

The Stone Turtle Day Lodge Cafe is OPEN! Feast on hot panini sandwiches like the Turkey Pesto Panini: oven roasted turkey breast, provolone cheese, basil pesto, tomatoes, spinach and banana peppers. Served with Great Lakes Potato Chips and a dill pickle spear! Finish it off with a giant chocolate chip cookie if you dare!!

It’s beginning to look a lot like winter!

-Mariah, Stu, Bob, Lynne, Fran, Matt, Alex, Dodge, Kim, Kelsey, Mike, Dana, Brian, and the crew
