Sleeping Bear Heritage Trail Cross Country Ski Report – 12/09

Saturday, December 9, 2017

We received about 5′ of fresh powder last night. Today our grooming crew was out removing a couple of large trees that had fallen across the trail. Then we groomed from Glen Haven to Glen Arbor with the roller/compactor to build base. Tracks were not set because the base is too thin – only about 2′ of base.

We plan to run the roller compactor to Empire Sunday. I will send out an update when I have more information.

Glen Arbor to Glen Haven
Groomed – no tracks – just corduroy and about 2′ base
Glen Haven to Dune Climb
Ungroomed – 5′ of light powder.
