Shanty Creek Snow Report – 12/15

Schuss Mountain is now open DAILY for the rest of the season.
The Lake Effect machine has been in full force this week… it has snowed every day for nine days! We received 2-3″ of new snow just yesterday, and today’s forecast calls for a few inches more and highs near 20 degrees.
The weather forecast is still conducive for around-the-clock snowmaking, which has kept our mountain crew busy making snow this past week and a half! Because of their efforts, we’re able to open the yellow, pink, purple and magic carpet pods, complete with a terrain park build on Purple Daze!

While others boast six-for-this or five-for-that, on December 15 pack as many friends, family members, neighbors and anyone else you can find into your car and head to Schuss Mountain. Everyone in your vehicle skis or rides for just $50 per carload. It’s the best value on the slopes!
All of our nordic trails have been rolled and we will be attempting to groom with the tidd tech today if the snow has firmed up a bit. Please call the nordic center at 231.533.3000, x 4300 for details on the XC trails.
