XC Ski Headquarters Cross Country Ski Report – 12/15

We received another inch of snow throughout the day yesterday and last night, which will make for especially good skating and in-track classic skiing today. Groomer Butch did a great job snow combing and rolling in tracks on the premier trails yesterday – Rolling Hills, Mackinaw Cut, Wild Turkey, and Manitou – which are in good to great condition and suitable for “A skis” – just keep an eye out for a couple fair spots still left. Tall Pines and Adventure have improved quite a bit, and have fair to good conditions with a couple marginal spots. We are waiting to receive one more inch of snow before grooming today, which we are forecast to receive. It’s looking like a great weekend in the works for XC skiing!

Forecast:

Today: Variably cloudy with snow showers. High 23F. Winds WSW at 10 to 15 mph. Chance of snow 80%. Snow accumulating 1 to 3 inches.

Tonight: Mainly cloudy with snow showers around this evening. Low around 15F. Winds W at 10 to 15 mph. Chance of snow 40%.
