XC Ski Headquarters Cross Country Ski Report – 12/17

It was too much fun roasting chestnuts and singing songs with Trapper Santa yesterday!

The skiing was fantastic yesterday. Classic tracks and skating lanes still are in great condition on the Manitou, Rolling Hills, Mackinaw Cut, Wild Turkey, and Trappers Cabin trails. Tall Pines is still in fair to good condition, and Adventure is ungroomed and open for “back country” skiing and snowshoeing. It is so wonderful to see so many skiers taking advantage of these great early season conditions!

Forecast:

Today: Overcast. A few flurries are possible. High 28F. Winds ESE at 5 to 10 mph.

Tonight: Cloudy skies. Low 24F. Winds light and variable.

Tomorrow: Cloudy. High 34F. Winds SW at 5 to 10 mph.

Today’s Stone Turtle Day Lodge Cafe is Classic Chili and Bosco Sticks! Our classic spicy chili is a longstanding wintertime favorite, and when you put it with 3 cheese-filled breadsticks, you don’t even care if you earned it!

The Christmas sale is in full swing! Sweaters, gloves, hats, socks, snowshoes, skis – and it’s all on sale!

Enjoy this beautiful day!

-Mariah, Stu, Bob, Lynne, Fran, Matt, Kelsey, Alex, Dodge, Kim, Missy, Erin, Mike, Dana, Butch, Brian and the crew
