XC Ski Headquarters Cross Country Ski Report – 12/20

We survived the brief warm up yesterday, with temps returning to the mid-20’s last night and looking to stay cool for the foreseeable future. Due to sun and warmth, followed by cold, expect crusty to occasional icy conditions today on the trails, as we are unable to groom until we receive more snow. The good news is that we are forecast to receive a few inches between tomorrow and Saturday, and even more next week! It should be a fabulous holiday week for skiing!!

Forecast:

Today: Light snow this morning will give way to cloudy skies this afternoon. High near 25F. Winds NW at 10 to 15 mph. Chance of snow 50%.

Tonight: Cloudy. Low 17F. Winds light and variable.

Tomorrow: Cloudy with snow developing during the afternoon. High near 25F. Winds light and variable. Chance of snow 70%. About one inch of snow expected.

Today’s Stone Turtle Day Lodge Cafe lunch special is Nachos! Tortilla chips piled with your choice of veggie or classic chili, then topped with cheese, diced onions, black olives, chopped tomatoes, and sour cream. Watch out!!
