XC Ski Headquarters Cross Country Ski Report – 12/26

Merry Christmas! Since Christmas Eve, we received upwards of 3 inches of fresh snow. Groomer Butch will be snow combing and setting fresh tracks on all the trails this morning once it warms up a bit. The snow we have gotten in the past couple of weeks has been some of the best quality snow there is, as it has stayed soft and fresh and not turned into boiler plate. The skiing is absolutely fantastic!

Forecast:

Today: Cloudy. A few flurries or snow showers possible. High around 5F. Winds W at 10 to 15 mph.

Tonight: Snow showers. Low 1F. Winds W at 5 to 10 mph. Chance of snow 50%. Snow accumulations less than one inch.

Tomorrow: Snow showers. High near 10F. Winds W at 5 to 10 mph. Chance of snow 50%. Snowfall around one inch.

Today’s Stone Turtle Day Lodge Cafe lunch special is the El Gordo Panini! Sliced ham, provolone cheese, banana peppers, tomato, red, onion, spinach and yes, BACON, plus mayo and mustard on a ciabatta bun, served with Great Lakes Chips and a pickle.

The trails are in excellent shape – and cross country skiing in the woods keeps you warm!

-Mariah, Stu, Bob, Lynne, Fran, Matt, Kelsey, Alex, Dodge, Kim, Missy, Erin, Mike, Dana, Butch, Brian and the crew
