XC Ski Headquarters Cross Country Ski Report – 12/29

We received another generous dusting of snow last night, which continues to add to our snow base and freshen up the trails. Groomer Mike will snow comb all the skating lanes and reset tracks where needed this morning. Conditions are excellent for skating and classic skiing. Classic tracks are set on all trails, and skate lanes are firm and smooth. It’s a winter wonderland!

Forecast:

Today: Generally cloudy. A few flurries or snow showers possible. High 14F. Winds WSW at 5 to 10 mph.

Tonight: Cloudy skies. A few flurries or snow showers possible. Low 6F. Winds light and variable.

Tomorrow: Cloudy early with partial sunshine expected late. A few flurries or snow showers possible. High 14F. Winds NW at 10 to 15 mph.

Today’s Stone Turtle Day Lodge Cafe lunch special is the Maui Wowi Panini! Sliced ham, swiss cheese, and fresh pineapple grilled to perfection on a ciabatta bun. Served with Great Lakes Chips and a pickle. Don’t forget the freshly baked chocolate chip and oatmeal raisin cookies.

The snowy forest is calling, and you must go!

-Mariah, Stu, Bob, Lynne, Fran, Matt, Kelsey, Alex, Dodge, Kim, Missy, Erin, Mike, Dana, Butch, Brian and the crew
