Porcupine Mountains Wilderness State Park - the Porkies

WINTER COMES EARLY TO THE PORKIES: Snow in the mountains today temporarily shut down two scenic site access roads, Lake of the Clouds and Summit Peak. Staff measured 4" - 6" in the high country with 2" or less down below. Lake of the Clouds is open again now leaving only Summit Peak temporarily closed. Melting temps tomorrow may help get this reopened. Those entering the Backcountry will experience high water and are being advised not to take unnecessary risks. #midnr #miparks #puremichigan #snow ... See MoreSee Less
