XC Ski Headquarters Cross Country Ski Report – 01/16

Trail Doctor Bob continued adding snow all day yesterday to the John Deere loop, and was able to snow comb and even set classic tracks late in the afternoon! Conditions on the 1.2km John Deere loop are excellent for classic and skating. We also received about 2 inches of snow throughout yesterday and last night, which helped conditions immensely. This morning, Groomer Mike will snow comb Rolling Hills, Manitou, Wild Turkey, Mackinaw Cut, Trapper’s Cabin, and Adventure, which will be open for rock skiing today. He will also work on extending the John Deere loop with the snow spreader. The practice area still has plenty of coverage for ski demos and lessons. Snowshoeing is welcome on all the trails as well.
